Sunday, 4-16-00. We were going to leave. My voice only got worse, and I had to talk in this deep sexy voice. We packed in the morning, and because our band director ran out of breakfast tickets, so we either had to buy breakfast or wait until lunch to eat. I chose to wait until lunch, since we were going to Downtown Disney for a couple of hours anyway. We boarded the buses and we found out we were going to have the same bus, so we left our things on there. I was relieved because I didn't have to carry around the souvenirs I had bought at the Magic Kingdom a few days before. At Downtown Disney we first went to the large Virgin Megastore. It was pretty boring, the funniest moment was when we saw one of Ricky Martin's old albums that made him look a girl. And we also saw Virgin T-shirts. Who wants a T-shirt that says Virgin...? We went around to the other stores... a Blues store and some other ones. We ate at a Cuban cafe, Bongo's I think it was called, and I got a chicken sandwich with plantain chips, and a Sprite. We went around to various stores afterward-- the magnet store and the Mickey's Groove store. I bought some postcards at the store, which were like $1.50 each, and I was surprised two measly postcards cost almost 5 bucks. Spencer was looking for a souvenir as well, so we outside to a stand and bought a fun pack (which I helped pay for.) We waited around a bit for the bus, and when it came we boarded it to the airport.
I was really bored; I took a picture waiting.
At the airport I was relieved I didn't have to take a long time through the metal detectors. I was upset, though, that my headphones broke when I put them in my shopping bag. We lounged around for a few minutes before boarding the plane to Denver. Lizzy and Jeff were arm wrestling, and I took a picture... it seemed like Lizzy was going to win (or Jeff was going easy) but it looked funny nonetheless. And yeah, Jeff won.
I sat next to Aaron and Rachel for like 2 1/2 hours. It was actually pretty fun. We filled out some information cards about each other. We also played Hodgepodge (the game where you have to say one word to make a story) kinda. I tried to get everyone in our row to do the wave, but there would always be one person who didn't do it. We got our meals, which consisted of some roasted chicken of some sort with rice; I got a Frappuccino as my drink. I remember mixing the rest of my frappuccino with salt, pepper, butter, part of my cookie, all of Rachel's salad dressing, some of the sauce on the chicken, and then I drank some of it :) The flight attendant seemed pissed. Although a picture was finally taken of me putting my student ID card in the Airfone slot and looking goofy as I talked on the phone!
Also, Alana took a picture of Joe sleeping.
Here's the last picture that was taken on the trip. Alana took it... I pretended to be sick, and Aaron was supposed to look bored (he has his eyes rolled if you look kinda closely. Yeah I should've taken group barf pics.We got to Denver and we got on another plane; I sat next to Ben and Sam on this flight, which was really boring because we were tired and sleepy and that stuff. I did pretty much nothing, not really talk much, but I listened to some music. Then the batteries to the walkman died, so I gave Ben his walkman back. It seemed to take forever. The view as we entered Seattle was spectacular, because the sun was just setting over the Puget Sound. It felt good to be home. |
